Grace Bubeck: Opening Session
Welcoming you to this retreat, exploring the 'fertile ground' of healing and awakening, becoming still (short meditation).

Jac O'Keeffe: Healing Pre-Awakening and Post-Awakening
Healing brings the ego to wholeness and maturity, enabling its dissolution. Post awakening, there is no ownership and no ego, yet old conditioning presents through habits. It's important that processing continues yielding deeper understandings and a broader perspective.

Clare Blanchflower: Everyday Satsang
Clare was going to share her experience of sharing weekly satsang, enlivening Being and supporting members of a sangha dedicated to awakening. We explore how healing can be an intrinsic part of consciousness awakening to itself, revealing the innate wholeness we are. -- Due to a power failure, Clare was only able to join us for the last 12 minutes of the session; for most of it, we're in 'everyday satsang' inquiring into moment to moment experience.

Richard Miller: Healing Trauma through Experiencing Wholeness
True healing through trauma begins when we are able to recognize and embody our innate wholeness and health, which is already within ourselves, no matter our circumstance. When we realize our wholeness, we experience an indestructible inner resource that allows us to weather the deepest challenges we will face as we heal through trauma, as well as go about our daily lives. Without knowing our wholeness, no matter how much we heal symptoms of trauma, we’ll always feel that something’s still not right.

Meditation and sharing session

Lisa Schumacher: Self-Inquiry and Healing
Lisa's experience, in her own words: In my own Inquiry I have found that when attention is freed from the fascination with the story of "me and how to fix me", it naturally follows that there is healing on some level. I stopped using my life and others to feed egoic fixations and discovered true integrity. There is great healing in that.

John Prendergast: The Greatest Intimacy: Awakened Relating to the Apparent Other
As we are released from our common sense experience of being a separate-inside-self, we are freed to be intimate with the totality of Life, including apparent “others.” When we no longer take ourselves as an object, a someone, the objective nature of relationship transforms into an awakened process of relating. Loving acceptance and gratitude naturally arise from a sense of innate fullness and gradually replace the subtle and not-so-subtle manipulation of ourself and others that is rooted in a sense of lack.

Gail Brenner: Putting It All Together: the Fertile Ground of Life
Life continuously offers us opportunities to awaken from the dream of our personal suffering. In this open-ended conversation, Gail and Grace will look at how we can bring the insights from the retreat to the continuing unfolding of our lives.
